The European Sustainable Nutrient Initiative
The ESNI Community aims to foster collaboration among European entities engaged in nutrient recycling, facilitating the exchange of valuable experiences and identifying knowledge gaps to guide future research.

OBJECTIVES
- Exchanging knowledge on nutrient recycling and developments of the related value chains.
- Assessing the European, national and local legal framework on nutrient recycling and assisting the policy recommendation activities from EU projects.
- Fostering collaborative research and joint work to amplify the impact of R&D at the EU level.
- Communicating research and innovation results to all relevant stakeholders.
ESNI has 4 Working Groups
As core part of this initiative, the ESNI community set up 4 Working Groups, led by European projects, discussing major challenges with an impact on the nutrient recycling and recovery.

Several topics related to nutrient recycling are discussed during online and physical meetings.
